Another continent to visit and experience

26 February 2016
Well, the apple cart was tipped over in the weeks prior to our departure because Annie, our beautiful 11.5 year old Golden Retriever was diagnosed with a cancerous lesion. You always know you beloved dogs will leave you all too soon. But this one is more difficult than most because Annie is a more than special dog. She charmed us from the start with her cheeky smile and loved everyone she met and they responded in turn. Then we set about finding a mate for her and she bore 26 beautiful Golden Retriever puppies. This in itself was a truly amazing experience having not had a litter for 20 odd years but then the friends we have made through these puppies has been such a blessing and then more puppies by two of her bitches added to that.
Worrying we will have to leave her not knowing if we will see her again will be painful but we must be thankful she has had a healthy life and produced healthy life affirming offspring. This holiday is going to be so very special but bitter sweet, that's for sure.
